Responsibilities
- Submit and follow up on insurance claims using electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits
- Resolve billing discrepancies and denials
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
- Generate monthly patient statements and manage accounts receivable
- Collaborate with clinical teams for accurate documentation
Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical billing experience
- Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and commercial insurance
- Experience with EHR systems (Epic or Cerner preferred)
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification
