Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean medical claims to insurance payers with 99% accuracy
- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patient services
- Resolve claim denials and billing discrepancies through strategic follow-up
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer regulations
- Generate monthly financial reports and aging accounts receivable
- Collaborate with clinical teams to document services correctly
- Train staff on billing best practices and process improvements
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in outpatient or hospital settings
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Expertise in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- Advanced proficiency in Epic EHR and NextGen billing platforms
- Strong analytical skills for complex insurance claim resolution
- Excellent written communication for patient correspondence
