Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain strict sterile protocols throughout surgical processes
- Count and track surgical instruments before and after procedures
- Transport patients and equipment between operating rooms
- Sterilize and maintain surgical equipment per facility standards
- Document procedural details accurately in electronic health records
Qualifications
- Current Surgical Technologist certification (CST) required
- Minimum 1 year of surgical tech experience preferred
- Knowledge of sterile processing and aseptic techniques
- Ability to work flexible hours (evenings, weekends, on-call)
- Strong attention to detail in high-pressure environments
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
