Responsibilities
- Submit and follow up on insurance claims to maximize reimbursement
- Review and code medical diagnoses/procedures using ICD-10 and CPT
- Resolve claim denials and billing discrepancies
- Maintain patient financial records and payment plans
- Ensure HIPAA compliance in all billing operations
- Collaborate with clinical teams to verify documentation
- Analyze aging reports and identify revenue opportunities
Qualifications
- 3+ years medical billing experience
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) credential preferred
- Proficiency in Epic or NextGen EHR systems
- Strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid/Commercial payers
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to manage high-volume claim workflows
- Experience with denial resolution and appeals
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's preferred)
