Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance payers with 95%+ accuracy
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits for medical services
- Resolve claim denials and manage appeals processes
- Reconcile accounts receivable and maintain aging reports
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer regulations
- Collaborate with clinical teams to document accurate coding
- Utilize Epic and NextGen EHR systems for billing operations
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in outpatient/physician settings
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credential preferred
- Expertise in CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems
- Proficient in medical billing software (e.g., Lytec, AdvancedMD)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to financial details
