Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain sterile environments per OSHA standards
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, sutures, and sterile supplies
- Coordinate with remote team members via telehealth platforms for pre-op planning and post-op documentation
- Manage inventory of surgical supplies and troubleshoot equipment issues remotely
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and surgical documentation
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for surgical protocols
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification required
- Minimum 2 years of surgical tech experience in general, orthopedic, or neurosurgery
- Proficiency with telehealth platforms and EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work independently with remote oversight while maintaining strict compliance
- Strong communication skills for hybrid team collaboration
- Current BLS certification and willingness to travel to St. Petersburg facility
