Responsibilities
- Analyze medical records and assign accurate CPT/ICD-10 codes
- Submit clean claims to commercial payers and Medicare/Medicaid
- Manage denial resolution and appeals processes
- Conduct patient billing inquiries and payment plan coordination
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
- Generate monthly performance reports for client review
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience required
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) credential preferred
- Expertise in Epic, Athena, or NextGen EMR systems
- Deep understanding of UB-04 and CMS-1500 forms
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
