- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to service
- Resolve claim denials and appeals within 48 hours
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer regulations
- Generate monthly reports on billing metrics and AR aging
- Collaborate with clinical teams to document chargeable services
- Utilize Epic EMR and NextGen billing software daily
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a hospital or clinic setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Proficient in EOB analysis and claim resubmission workflows
- Strong problem-solving skills for complex claim resolution
- Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers
- Ability to handle high-volume billing with 95%+ accuracy
