Responsibilities
- Deliver patient-centered care across diverse clinical settings including ER, ICU, Med-Surg, and specialty units
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders and facility protocols
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document clinical outcomes in EMR systems
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized care plans
- Ensure strict compliance with JCAHO, OSHA, and state nursing board regulations
- Maintain accurate medication administration records and patient documentation
- Provide patient/family education on health conditions and discharge planning
- Respond promptly to emergency situations with rapid assessment and intervention
Qualifications
- Active TN RN license or compact state license with quick endorsement process
- BLS certification; ACLS/PALS preferred for specialty assignments
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience in relevant specialty
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work 8, 12, or 16-hour shifts including weekends/holidays
