Responsibilities
- Accurately code diagnoses and procedures using ICD-10 and CPT systems
- Submit clean claims to insurance providers and government payers
- Manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments
- Resolve claim denials and appeals with insurance companies
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation
- Generate monthly revenue reports for financial analysis
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Proficiency in medical coding (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS)
