Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid telephone and virtual patient assessments using evidence-based triage protocols
- Prioritize patient cases according to acuity levels and emergency standards
- Document clinical encounters accurately in EMR systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists for complex case escalations
- Provide clear, compassionate patient education and discharge instructions
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives for triage accuracy
Qualifications
- Active RN license in New York State
- Minimum 2 years emergency/urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficient in telehealth triage platforms (e.g., TriageLogic, Epic)
- Exceptional critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
- Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
