Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean medical claims to insurance payers using provided billing software
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits before service rendering
- Manage denial resolution and appeals processes with 95% first-pass success rate
- Perform audit-ready coding using ICD-10 and CPT guidelines
- Generate monthly reports on collection metrics and AR aging
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure accurate charge capture
Qualifications
- 3+ years medical billing experience with 90%+ clean claim rate
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Expertise in Medicare/Medicaid and commercial payer regulations
