- Process and submit medical claims to insurance providers accurately and efficiently
- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits prior to service delivery
- Resolve claim denials and billing discrepancies through systematic follow-up
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and industry coding standards
- Generate detailed billing reports for financial analysis and auditing
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure complete documentation
- Utilize Epic and NextGen EHR systems for billing operations
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and government payers
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Proficiency in medical coding (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS)
- Expertise in claim scrubbing and denial management
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience with EHR/PM systems and billing software
- Ability to work independently with flexible scheduling
