About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced billing specialist to handle the financial side of patient care. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our healthcare partners receive timely reimbursements while maintaining high levels of patient satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Verify and validate patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to service.
- Accurately complete and submit claims using the CMS-1500 form to commercial and government payers.
- Research and resolve denied or delayed claims to maximize revenue collection.
- Manage accounts receivable and send out monthly statements to patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, and internal staff regarding billing inquiries.
- Stay updated on coding changes (ICD-10, CPT) and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
- CPC, COC, or RHIT certification preferred (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in medical billing and revenue cycle management.
- Proficient in medical billing software (Epic, Athenahealth, or similar).
- Strong understanding of ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule and work independently.
