Responsibilities
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to service.
- Accurately code medical services using ICD-10 and CPT guidelines.
- Submit and follow up on medical claims with insurance carriers (Blue Cross, United, etc.).
- Review and resolve denied or rejected claims to maximize revenue.
- Generate and send patient billing statements and invoices.
- Answer patient inquiries regarding account balances and payment plans.
- Maintain accurate, confidential medical records and billing logs.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Basic computer proficiency and fast typing skills.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced office environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new medical billing software.
