Responsibilities
- Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies with 95%+ accuracy
- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits pre-service
- Resolve claim denials and appeals within 5 business days
- Perform CPT/ICD-10 coding for outpatient services
- Reconcile accounts receivable reports weekly
- Collaborate with clinical teams for documentation compliance
- Train new staff on billing protocols
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) credential required
- Expert knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding guidelines
- Proficient in Epic or NextGen EHR systems
- Familiarity with Texas Medicaid and Medicare regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
