Responsibilities
- Accurately code and bill medical services using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes
- Verify insurance eligibility and resolve claim denials efficiently
- Manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer regulations
- Collaborate with clinical teams to document services accurately
- Generate monthly reports on billing performance metrics
- Maintain patient confidentiality and data security protocols
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Proficiency in Epic, Centricity, or similar EHR systems
- Strong knowledge of insurance claim processes and reimbursement
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
- Experience with Medicare/Medicaid billing guidelines
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
