Responsibilities
- Accurately code and submit medical claims using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS guidelines
- Manage insurance claim follow-up and den resolution
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits coordination
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
- Analyze account discrepancies and resolve billing issues
- Collaborate with clinical teams for accurate documentation
- Generate monthly revenue reports for department leadership
Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical billing experience required
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Proficiency in Epic or NextGen EHR systems
- Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer policies
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Experience with denial management and appeals processes
