Responsibilities
- Accurately process medical claims using CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for patients
- Resolve claim denials and rejections through follow-up with insurance carriers
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and industry standards
- Generate daily reports on billing metrics and performance
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure accurate documentation
- Manage patient payment plans and account balances
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of medical billing experience
- Proficiency in Epic or NextGen EHR systems
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid billing guidelines
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
