Responsibilities
- Process and submit medical claims to insurance carriers with 98%+ accuracy
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits prior to service rendering
- Resolve claim denials and rejections through effective appeals
- Conduct thorough follow-up on outstanding accounts receivable
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and coding regulations (CPT, ICD-10)
- Collaborate with clinical teams to clarify documentation requirements
- Generate monthly reports on key revenue cycle metrics
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in outpatient/ambulatory setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credential required
- Expert knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding guidelines
- Proficient in medical billing software (Epic, Athena, or similar)
- Strong analytical skills for claim resolution and denial management
