Responsibilities
- Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies with 99% accuracy
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits for all insurance types
- Resolve claim denials and appeals within 30-day SLA
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer regulations
- Collaborate with clinical teams to document services accurately
- Generate monthly revenue reports for practice management
- Train staff on billing software updates and coding changes
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a clinical setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Expertise in CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems
- Advanced proficiency in Epic, NextGen, or similar EHR systems
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience with Medicare/Medicaid and commercial payers
- Ability to meet 95+ first-pass claim rate targets
