Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, ensuring they feel comfortable and safe in their environment.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and safe patient care environment in accordance with health department regulations.
- Document patient care activities, changes in condition, and daily reports accurately and timely in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, registered nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding for patients with dietary restrictions.
Qualifications
- Current and valid California CNA License required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification (ACLS preferred but not required).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and staff.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift and move patients safely (up to 50 lbs).
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary healthcare team.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
