Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
- Accurately code and submit medical claims to insurance carriers (Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial).
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits prior to services.
- Research and resolve denied claims to maximize revenue.
- Prepare and send patient statements and explain financial responsibility.
- Maintain accurate billing records and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
Qualifications
- CPC, CMA, or RHIT certification preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in medical billing and revenue cycle management.
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth) is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
