Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain sterile environments according to strict protocols
- Assist surgeons during complex procedures, including orthopedic, neuro, and cardiovascular surgeries
- Manage surgical instruments and supplies, ensuring optimal inventory control and cost-efficiency
- Monitor patient vital signs and provide direct assistance during critical phases of surgery
- Train and mentor junior surgical tech staff on advanced techniques and safety standards
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams to ensure seamless surgical workflows
- Adhere to OSHA, AORN, and JCAHO regulations for surgical safety
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery - Certified (TS-C) required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Level I trauma center or specialty surgical services
- Expertise in robotic-assisted surgery and minimally invasive procedures
- BLS and ACLS certifications with current status
- Associate degree in Surgical Technology or related field
- Demonstrated knowledge of advanced surgical instrumentation and equipment
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure, fast-paced surgical environments
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional sterile technique
