Responsibilities
- Greet and Welcome Patients: Provide a warm and professional welcome to all visitors, patients, and guests entering the facility.
- Manage Schedules: Accurately schedule patient appointments via phone and in-person, ensuring optimal provider utilization.
- Front Desk Operations: Handle patient check-in and check-out processes, including verifying insurance information and collecting copays.
- Communication: Answer incoming calls professionally, triaging urgent matters and taking detailed messages.
- Data Management: Maintain and update patient records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system with 100% accuracy.
- Administrative Support: Assist with billing inquiries, process referrals, and manage incoming mail/faxes.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED: Required; Associate’s degree in Healthcare Administration is a plus.
- Previous Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Receptionist or Front Desk Coordinator preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Must be proficient with electronic health record systems (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- License/Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be required depending on state regulations.
