Key Duties:
- Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Manage front desk operations, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and checking patients in/out.
- Verify patient insurance information and process payments accurately.
- Maintain and update patient medical records with the highest level of confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure seamless patient flow and care delivery.
- Handle patient inquiries and resolve issues efficiently to ensure high satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; medical receptionist certification is a plus.
- Previous experience in a medical front desk or administrative role preferred.
- Strong computer proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., AthenaHealth, Epic).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a busy healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic insurance knowledge is highly desirable.
