Responsibilities
- Patient Check-In: Greet patients warmly, verify personal and insurance information, and check them in efficiently using our EMR system.
- Front Desk Operations: Manage phone lines, answer inquiries, and route calls to the appropriate medical staff promptly.
- Scheduling: Coordinate patient appointments, manage cancellations, and ensure the schedule is optimized for both patients and providers.
- Administrative Support: Handle insurance verification, process patient co-pays, and maintain accurate medical records.
- Mail and Communication: Manage incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and emails, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and restock office supplies and patient forms as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; certification in Medical Reception is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a medical front desk or reception role preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with electronic health records (EMR/EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on customer service and patient privacy.
- Organization: Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
