Job Summary:
As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming environment. You will manage the front desk operations, ensure patient satisfaction, and support our medical staff in delivering top-tier care.
Responsibilities
- Greets patients warmly upon arrival and manages the reception area to ensure a professional and welcoming atmosphere.
- Answers incoming phone calls professionally, schedules patient appointments, and manages the practice's electronic calendar efficiently.
- Processes patient check-ins and check-outs, verifying insurance information and collecting copays accurately and securely.
- Maintains accurate patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system and updates contact information as needed.
- Assists with basic medical billing inquiries, prepares referral letters, and coordinates referrals with specialists.
- Ensures strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and office confidentiality protocols at all times.
- Collaborates with the medical team to ensure a smooth workflow in the clinic.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on exceptional customer service.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn new medical software quickly.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Candidates must be reliable, punctual, and possess a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Basic math skills for handling financial transactions.
