Responsibilities
- Patient Care & Assessment: Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care under the supervision of licensed staff, including accurate vital signs and patient assessments.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with Texas state regulations and hospital protocols.
- Flexible Scheduling: Adapt to various shift patterns (Day, Evening, Night, and Weekend) to ensure continuous patient coverage.
- Medication Management: Assist in the preparation and administration of medications, strictly adhering to the five rights of medication administration.
- Communication: Collaborate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Infection Control: Strictly follow infection prevention and control policies to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Education: Must possess or be actively pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Texas Board of Nursing required.
- Experience: No prior clinical experience required; New Graduates and recent graduates are highly encouraged to apply.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required at start date.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, excellent communication skills, and a genuine desire to learn and grow in a clinical setting.
- Availability: Must be willing to work flexible shifts and overtime as needed to meet departmental demands.
