Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration) accurately and promptly.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the RN or physician within scope of practice.
- Maintain a safe and clean patient environment, ensuring infection control protocols are strictly followed.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during the night shift.
- Document patient care activities, observations, and changes in condition in electronic health records (EHR).
- Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team regarding patient needs and updates.
Qualifications
- Current and active Washington State CNA Certification (CNA-1).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care facility preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team during night shifts.
- Physical stamina to lift, transfer, and assist patients as needed.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient-centered care.
