Your Role:
As a Weekend CNA, you will work closely with the nursing staff to ensure our residents receive the highest standard of care. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor patient health, and create a warm, welcoming environment for our community members.
Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Care: Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Mobility Assistance: Help residents move safely between their rooms and common areas using transfer techniques and mobility aids.
- Medication Assistance: Under the supervision of the RN, assist residents with medication reminders and document administration as required.
- Care Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of patient care activities, changes in condition, and any incidents in the electronic health record system.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between residents, families, and the healthcare team to ensure needs are met and concerns are addressed promptly.
- Emergency Response: Respond immediately to call lights and emergency situations, following protocol to ensure resident safety.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, valid State of Nevada Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is mandatory.
- Availability: Must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays on a recurring basis.
- Experience: Previous experience in long-term care, assisted living, or hospital settings is preferred but not always required.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact compassionately with residents and families.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift patients, and perform physical tasks as necessary.
- Professionalism: Strong ethical standards, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient safety.
