Responsibilities
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and minor procedures
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and patient documentation
- Prepare exam rooms and ensure sterile equipment availability
- Coordinate patient flow and schedule management during night shifts
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medication protocols
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure seamless care delivery
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in medical or hospital setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
