Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to any changes in condition.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient recovery.
- Document patient care, progress, and any adverse reactions accurately and timely.
- Educate patients and families on disease management and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in accordance with healthcare standards.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New Mexico.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred (Travel or Per Diem experience is a plus).
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
