Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including vital signs assessment, EKGs, and specimen collection
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and maintain accurate medical records
- Administer medications and injections following strict protocols
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize equipment between patient visits
- Coordinate patient flow and communicate with overnight nursing staff
- Handle emergency situations with calm professionalism
- Manage inventory and supply ordering for the night shift
Qualifications
- Current California Medical Assistant certification (CMA/RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in fast-paced environment
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Excellent communication abilities for cross-shift handoffs
- Flexibility to cover rotating weekends as needed
