Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures
- Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and basic lab testing
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Triage urgent patient calls and coordinate emergency responses
- Inventory and manage medical supplies across multiple departments
- Provide patient education on post-treatment care protocols
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (AAMA or NCCT)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in hospital/urgent care setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in Epic or NextGen EHR systems
- Ability to work independently during low-staff overnight shifts
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Flexible schedule availability including weekends and holidays
