Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans during overnight hours
- Administer medications and treatments with precision while maintaining strict safety protocols
- Monitor critical patients using advanced telemetry and electronic health record systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during emergency situations and code responses
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with JCAHO and hospital standards
- Provide patient and family education regarding overnight care procedures
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuous process enhancement
Qualifications
- Active DC RN license with no disciplinary actions
- BSN degree (ADN candidates with 3+ years experience considered)
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience in night shift environment
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Proficiency in Epic EMR and telehealth technologies
- Strong critical thinking skills for independent decision-making
- Exceptional communication abilities during handoffs and emergencies
