Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures following strict safety protocols
- Prepare and maintain collection supplies, equipment, and specimen processing areas
- Verify patient identity and provide clear instructions to ensure comfort during procedures
- Process and label specimens accurately while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Document patient information and lab results in electronic health records (EHR)
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure efficient patient flow and service excellence
- Participate in ongoing training to enhance technical skills and knowledge
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- No prior phlebotomy experience necessary (comprehensive training provided)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain)
