Responsibilities
- Patient Assistance: Provide direct care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring their daily living needs are met with dignity and respect.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Hygiene & Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients by adhering to strict sanitation and infection control protocols.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient needs, concerns, and progress to Registered Nurses and other members of the healthcare team.
- Mobility Support: Assist patients with ambulation and transfers using proper body mechanics to prevent injury to both the patient and the caregiver.
- Documentation: Accurately document patient care activities and observations in electronic medical records (EMR) as required.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED is required. Current CNA certification (or willingness to obtain) is highly preferred.
- Experience: No prior work experience required. We welcome entry-level candidates with a strong desire to learn.
- Skills: Basic computer literacy and typing skills are required.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift, push, and pull patients weighing up to 250 lbs; ability to stand for extended periods.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional compassion, patience, and a positive attitude are essential.
- License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
