Responsibilities

  • Patient Assistance: Provide direct care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring their daily living needs are met with dignity and respect.
  • Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
  • Hygiene & Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients by adhering to strict sanitation and infection control protocols.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate patient needs, concerns, and progress to Registered Nurses and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Mobility Support: Assist patients with ambulation and transfers using proper body mechanics to prevent injury to both the patient and the caregiver.
  • Documentation: Accurately document patient care activities and observations in electronic medical records (EMR) as required.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED is required. Current CNA certification (or willingness to obtain) is highly preferred.
