Responsibilities
- Assist the lead dentist and hygienists during examinations, cleanings, and complex procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and equipment.
- Maintain strict infection control protocols and sterilize instruments and work areas.
- Take and develop digital X-rays and intraoral images.
- Manage patient records, update dental charts, and prepare insurance claims.
- Greet patients warmly, verify information, and ensure a comfortable waiting experience.
- Provide post-operative care instructions and oral hygiene education.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- No prior dental assisting experience is necessary (paid training provided).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual dexterity tasks.
- Basic computer literacy is a plus.
- Eagerness to learn, adapt quickly, and work collaboratively in a team.
