Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor patient health status and promptly report any changes or concerns to the nursing supervisor.
- Provide personal hygiene assistance, companionship, and emotional support to clients.
- Administer medication as directed by a licensed nurse or physician.
- Assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry as needed.
- Transport clients to and from medical appointments or social activities.
- Maintain accurate records of daily care and incident reports.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Valid California Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate demeanor.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Physically capable of lifting, transferring, and assisting patients of varying sizes.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification is highly preferred.
