Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper techniques
- Prepare nutritious meals and ensure clients' dietary needs are met
- Monitor vital signs and report changes in client condition to RNs
- Perform light housekeeping tasks and maintain a safe environment
- Transport clients to appointments and social activities as needed
- Document care activities accurately in client records
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Valid Texas Driver's License with clean driving record (if transporting clients)
- Compassionate nature with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Reliable transportation to client assignments
- Willingness to obtain Texas HHA certification (provided)
- Basic computer literacy for documentation
