Responsibilities
- Accurately code and submit medical claims using ICD-10 and CPT guidelines
- Verify insurance eligibility and resolve billing discrepancies proactively
- Manage accounts receivable and follow up on unpaid claims
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain strict confidentiality protocols
- Collaborate with clinical teams to document services accurately
- Analyze denial trends and implement corrective actions
- Utilize Epic and NextGen EHR systems for billing operations
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with proven accuracy
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Expert knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and private insurance regulations
- Proficient in medical coding systems and billing software
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management preferred
