Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary draws on patients of all ages with a focus on patient comfort and safety.
- Label, process, and transport blood samples to the laboratory efficiently and accurately.
- Verify patient information and ensure proper documentation of all collection procedures.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and laboratory safety protocols.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering patient questions and alleviating anxiety.
- Assist with inventory management of supplies and equipment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong desire to learn and obtain Phlebotomy certification.
- Excellent manual dexterity and physical stamina.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Basic computer skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license (preferred for potential mobile duties).
