Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary draws on patients of all ages with a focus on patient safety and comfort.
- Prepare and label blood specimens accurately for laboratory analysis.
- Interact professionally with patients, explaining procedures and alleviating anxiety.
- Maintain strict adherence to health and safety protocols and infection control standards.
- Organize and maintain a clean, orderly phlebotomy station and medical equipment.
- Verify patient information and handle confidential medical records with discretion.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must be willing to enroll in and complete our paid on-the-job training program.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow complex instructions.
- Basic computer literacy is preferred.
