Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor patient health status and promptly report any changes, concerns, or emergencies to the nursing staff.
- Assist with vital signs, blood glucose monitoring, and basic medical procedures as directed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients and visitors.
- Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Illinois CNA License (or active multistate license).
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients of all ages.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and assist with patient transfers (lifting up to 50 lbs).
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
- High school diploma or GED required.
