Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) accurately.
- Assist nurses with medical procedures and adhere to treatment plans.
- Transport patients to and from treatment areas using wheelchairs or stretchers safely.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Document patient observations and care activities in electronic health records.
Qualifications
- Current State of Texas CNA Certification (or equivalent state license).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs when necessary.
- Compassionate attitude with a focus on patient dignity and respect.
