Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide direct, compassionate care to residents, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Vital Signs: Accurately monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Hygiene & Nutrition: Assist residents with meal planning and eating, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration throughout the day.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and care plans in accordance with facility protocols.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between residents, families, and the nursing staff to report changes in patient condition promptly.
- Environment: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current and valid Kansas CNA license.
- Experience: Previous experience in long-term care or home health preferred but not required for the right candidate.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and transfer patients (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassion: Genuine empathy and a patient-centered approach to care.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
