Responsibilities
- <ul><li>Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.</li><li>Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and in a timely manner.</li><li>Support patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.</li><li>Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, adhering to infection control protocols.</li><li>Communicate any changes in a patient's physical or mental condition to the charge nurse or RN immediately.</li><li>Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.</li></ul>
Qualifications
- <ul><li>Current and active Missouri CNA Certification required.</li><li>Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is mandatory.</li><li>Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.</li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.</li><li>Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the department.</li><li>Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift/move patients safely.</li></ul>
