Our part-time Certified Nursing Assistants play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents and patients. You will be the bridge between clinical care and daily comfort, ensuring that every individual receives the attention they deserve.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, while maintaining dignity and privacy at all times.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, engaging in meaningful conversations and recreational activities to improve mental well-being.
- Assist with mobility and transfer patients safely to and from beds, wheelchairs, and walkers using proper body mechanics.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and individual preferences, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, adhering to strict infection control and sanitation protocols.
- Document patient care activities accurately and promptly in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license currently active in the State of California.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required prior to start date.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Physical stamina and the ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods as required by the job duties.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others and improve patient outcomes.
- Reliable transportation and availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
