Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation as needed.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient preferences.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients.
- Document patient care activities, observations, and changes in condition accurately in medical records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Current Texas State CNA certification (RN or LPN may be considered).
- Current CPR/BLS certification (Basic Life Support) is required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required for enthusiastic candidates.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
